The Protagonists from Persona 3 and Persona 5 serve as your main leaders, and while they are silent, their combat capabilities are immense. Both have the unique ability to change their Main Persona, granting them unparalleled versatility. This makes them ideal candidates for filling any role your party might be lacking, or for specializing in a particular damage type.

P3 Protagonist: Starts with Orpheus. Excels in a balanced role, often having access to early healing and elemental attacks. Can be built as a powerful physical attacker, an elemental specialist, or even a dedicated support/healer with the right Sub-Persona. Recommended Sub-Personas include those that cover a wide range of elemental attacks or provide strong healing/support skills. Focus on skills that complement their current Main Persona's weaknesses or enhance their strengths.
P5 Protagonist: Starts with Arsene. Tends to lean towards offensive capabilities, particularly with Curse skills. Can be built as a high-damage physical attacker, a powerful elemental caster (especially with Fire/Curse), or a debuffer. Recommended Sub-Personas include those that boost their offensive stats, provide critical elemental coverage, or offer powerful debuffs. Due to their ability to change Personas, both protagonists are incredibly flexible and can adapt to any situation with the right preparation.
