Your map is your most powerful tool in Persona Q2. Here's how to use it effectively:

- Detailed Mapping: Don't just draw walls. Mark F.O.E. patrol routes, switch locations, hidden passages, treasure chests, and gathering points. Use the various icons available on the touch screen. A well-drawn map can save you countless headaches.
- F.O.E. Observation: Before engaging or trying to bypass an F.O.E., observe its movement pattern for several turns. Understand its detection range and how it reacts to your presence or environmental changes.
- Lure & Trap: Many puzzles involve luring F.O.E.s onto pressure plates or into specific areas. Use 'Bait' items or simply your own movement to guide them. Conversely, use environmental features like gates or light switches to trap F.O.E.s, clearing your path.
- Preemptive Strikes: Always try to get a preemptive strike on regular Shadows by attacking them from behind. This grants your party an extra turn at the start of combat, which can be crucial for difficult encounters.
- Secret Passages: Some walls can be broken or have hidden doors. Look for subtle visual cues or try interacting with suspicious-looking walls. These often lead to valuable treasure or shortcuts.
