Gym Leader Cheren's Team:
| Pokémon | Type | Level | Moves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patrat | Normal | Lvl 11 | Tackle, Leer, Bide |
| Lillipup | Normal | Lvl 13 | Tackle, Leer, Work Up, Bite |
Strategy:
Cheren specializes in Normal-type Pokémon, making them weak to Fighting-type moves. If you caught a Riolu on Floccesy Ranch, it will be your MVP for this battle. Even if it hasn't evolved into Lucario yet, its Fighting-type attacks will deal super effective damage.

- Patrat: This Pokémon can be annoying with Bide, which stores damage for two turns and then unleashes it. If Patrat uses Bide, consider switching to a Pokémon that resists Normal-type attacks or use a status move if you have one. Otherwise, hit it hard with Fighting-type moves.
- Lillipup: Lillipup's Work Up move boosts its Attack and Special Attack, so try to take it down quickly before it can set up too much. Again, Fighting-type moves are your best bet. If you don't have a Fighting-type, use your strongest neutral attacks. Your starter Pokémon, especially Tepig, can do well here with its strong offensive presence.
Recommended Pokémon: Riolu, Tepig (or its evolution Pignite), any Pokémon with strong neutral attacks. Ensure your Pokémon are around Level 12-14. Bring a few Potions just in case.
