Each Shadow Pokémon has a unique Purification Gauge that needs to be filled. Once the gauge is full, the Pokémon is purified. This process not only removes the Shadow condition, making the Pokémon more obedient and powerful, but it also often teaches them a new, powerful move called Shadow Rush. Shadow Rush is a sature move exclusive to Shadow Pokémon and is incredibly potent, especially before purification.
