Welcome, aspiring Snagem Hunter! This detailed checklist will guide you through the treacherous Orre region, ensuring you don't miss a single Shadow Pokémon or crucial item on your quest to dismantle Cipher. Follow these steps precisely to purify all 48 Shadow Pokémon and restore peace to the land.

Part 1: The Beginning - Phenac City & The Outskirt Stand

• Escape the Cipher Lab:
  • Initiate the tutorial battle with your Espeon and Umbreon.
  • Defeat the two Cipher Peons.
  • Grab the Snag Machine from the lab table.
  • Exit the lab and head towards the desert.
• The Outskirt Stand:
  • Upon arrival, witness the abduction of Rui.
  • Battle the first Cipher Peon (Wurmple, Seedot).
  • After the battle, Rui will join your party.
  • Heal your Pokémon at the Pokémon Center.
  • Item Acquisition: Check the trash cans for a Potion.
  • Speak to the man near the entrance to learn about Shadow Pokémon.
  • Head east towards Phenac City.
• Phenac City - Initial Exploration:
  • Enter Phenac City.
  • Head straight to the Mayor's House (large building in the center).
  • Speak with Mayor Thomas. He'll direct you to the Pre-Gym.
  • Item Acquisition: In the house directly left of the Pokémon Center, find a Great Ball.
  • Item Acquisition: Check the fountain in the city square for a Heal Powder.
• Phenac Pre-Gym Challenge:
  • Enter the Pre-Gym (building with a large Poké Ball sign).
  • Trainer Battle 1: Pre-Gym Leader (Lotad, Surskit).
  • Trainer Battle 2: Pre-Gym Leader (Nuzleaf, Lombre).
  • After defeating both, you'll gain access to the real Gym.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: In the Pre-Gym, you'll encounter your first Shadow Pokémon: Shadow Makuhita. Be prepared with Poké Balls!
• Phenac City - After Pre-Gym:
  • Return to Mayor Thomas. He'll thank you and mention something about the Colosseum.
  • Head to the Phenac Colosseum (large building in the north).
  • Register for the Colosseum challenge.
  • Colosseum Battle 1: Trainer with Zigzagoon, Taillow.
  • Colosseum Battle 2: Trainer with Poochyena, Wingull.
  • Colosseum Battle 3: Trainer with Shroomish, Slakoth.
  • Colosseum Battle 4: Trainer with Ralts, Abra.
  • Upon winning, you'll receive a TM01 (Focus Punch).
  • Exit Phenac City and head back to the Outskirt Stand.

Part 2: Pyrite Town & The Shadow Pokémon Lab

• Return to Outskirt Stand:
  • Heal your Pokémon if necessary.
  • Head west from the Outskirt Stand towards Pyrite Town.
• Pyrite Town - Initial Arrival:
  • Upon entering, you'll witness Miror B.'s antics.
  • Head to the Pyrite Town Colosseum.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: Battle Miror B.'s henchmen. One of them will have Shadow Sudowoodo.
  • After the battle, Miror B. will flee.
  • Item Acquisition: In the house near the Colosseum entrance, find a Hyper Potion.
  • Item Acquisition: Check the crates behind the Pokémon Center for a Revive.
• Pyrite Town - Investigating the Mayor:
  • Go to the Mayor's House (large mansion on the hill).
  • Speak with Mayor Duking. He'll ask for your help with the Shadow Pokémon problem.
  • He'll mention the "Shadow Pokémon Lab."
  • Side Quest: Duking will give you a Duking's Gift (a free Pokémon, usually a Shuckle or similar, depending on your choices later).
• Pyrite Town - The Shadow Pokémon Lab Entrance:
  • Head to the back alleys of Pyrite Town.
  • You'll find a hidden entrance to the Shadow Pokémon Lab.
  • Defeat the Cipher Peon guarding the entrance.
  • Enter the Shadow Pokémon Lab.
• Shadow Pokémon Lab - Infiltration:
  • Navigate through the lab, battling various Cipher Peons and Scientists.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: Encounter and snag Shadow Remoraid from a Scientist.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: Encounter and snag Shadow Mantine from another Scientist.
  • Item Acquisition: On the second floor, find a Full Heal in a locker.
  • Item Acquisition: In the main research room, pick up the Lab Card Key.
  • Use the Lab Card Key to access the lower levels.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: On the lowest level, you'll face a powerful Cipher Admin. Snag their Shadow Quagsire.
  • After defeating the Admin, you'll find evidence of Cipher's plans.
  • Exit the Shadow Pokémon Lab.

Part 3: Agate Village & Mt. Battle

• Return to Pyrite Town:
  • Report back to Mayor Duking. He'll be grateful and suggest you head to Agate Village.
  • Heal your Pokémon. Stock up on items like Ultra Balls and Full Restores.
  • Head north from Pyrite Town towards Agate Village.
• Agate Village - Arrival & Elder's House:
  • Upon entering, you'll notice the peaceful, natural setting.
  • Go to the Elder's House (large tree-like structure).
  • Speak with the Elder. She'll explain the importance of the Relic Stone for purifying Shadow Pokémon.
  • Item Acquisition: In the Elder's house, find a Lucky Egg.
  • She'll direct you to Mt. Battle.
• Mt. Battle - Ascent & Purification:
  • Head to Mt. Battle (the massive mountain to the east of Agate Village).
  • Speak to the attendant at the entrance to register.
  • Strategy Tip: Mt. Battle is a gauntlet of 100 trainers. You don't need to complete it all at once, but each section offers valuable experience and money.
  • Purification Chamber Access: After clearing the first 10 trainers (Area 1), you'll gain access to the Purification Chamber. This is crucial for purifying your snagged Shadow Pokémon.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: As you ascend Mt. Battle, you'll encounter Cipher Peons. One will have Shadow Skiploom.
  • Shadow Pokémon Snag: Another will have Shadow Sneasel.
  • Continue battling through the areas. Aim to clear at least Area 3 for good experience.
  • Item Acquisition: At the end of Area 1, you'll receive a Scope Lens.
  • Item Acquisition: At the end of Area 3, you'll receive a Quick Claw.
  • After making progress in Mt. Battle and purifying some Pokémon, return to Agate Village.
