Battle Mountain (Mt. Battle) Rewards
Conquering Mt. Battle isn't just about the glory of victory; it's also a prime location for earning valuable rewards that will aid you throughout your journey in Orre. The rewards vary depending on whether you're tackling the challenge in Story Mode or Battle Mode, and whether you're completing a full 100-trainer run or just a segment.
Story Mode Rewards
In Story Mode, your primary objective at Mt. Battle is to purify Shadow Pokémon. Each time you complete a 10-trainer segment, you'll receive a reward from the attendant at the reception desk. These rewards are crucial for maintaining your team and progressing through the game.
- Segments 1-10: Upon clearing the first 10 trainers, you'll receive a Heal Powder. This item is useful for curing status conditions on your Pokémon.
- Segments 11-20: Completing this section nets you a Revive, which can bring a fainted Pokémon back to battle with half its maximum HP.
- Segments 21-30: You'll be rewarded with a Full Heal, an essential item that cures all status conditions.
- Segments 31-40: A Max Potion awaits you, restoring a large amount of HP to one of your Pokémon.
- Segments 41-50: Successfully navigating this segment earns you a Full Restore, the ultimate healing item that fully restores HP and cures all status conditions.
- Segments 51-60: Another Revive will be yours, always handy to have in a pinch.
- Segments 61-70: You'll receive a Full Heal for your efforts.
- Segments 71-80: A Max Potion is your reward here.
- Segments 81-90: Another Full Restore, keeping your team in top shape.
- Segments 91-100: For conquering the entire mountain in Story Mode, you'll receive a final Full Restore.
Additionally, for every 10 trainers defeated, you'll earn Battle Points (BP), which can be exchanged for rare items and TMs at the Battle Shop located within Mt. Battle's lobby. This is a fantastic way to acquire powerful moves and essential battle items.
Battle Mode Rewards (Single and Double Battle)
Battle Mode offers more substantial rewards, especially for completing full 100-trainer runs. The rewards here are geared towards competitive play and maximizing your Pokémon's potential.
- First Completion (100 Trainers):
- Single Battle: Upon your very first completion of all 100 trainers in Single Battle mode, you will be awarded the incredibly rare Amulet Coin. This item doubles the money earned from battles when held by a Pokémon, making it a must-have for grinding cash.
- Double Battle: Your first full run through Double Battle mode will grant you a Choice Band. This powerful held item boosts the holder's Attack stat by 50% but locks them into using only the first move selected.
- Subsequent Completions (100 Trainers): After your initial reward, subsequent full completions of either Single or Double Battle mode will consistently reward you with a Master Ball. This is arguably the most valuable item in the game, allowing you to catch any wild Pokémon without fail. Given the limited number of Master Balls available elsewhere, Mt. Battle becomes your primary source for additional ones.
Remember, the Battle Mode challenges are significantly tougher than Story Mode, so ensure your team is well-trained, strategically built, and equipped with the best items before attempting a full run. Grinding for experience and optimizing your Pokémon's movesets at the Realgam Tower Colosseum and other battle facilities will greatly increase your chances of success.
