The Sprout Tower is a three-story pagoda filled with Sages who use Bellsprout. This is an excellent place to train your Pokémon, especially if you have a Fire or Flying-type. The Sages' Bellsprout are relatively easy to defeat, providing good experience. On the top floor, you'll encounter your rival again, who will quickly leave after a brief exchange. You'll then face the Elder of the Sprout Tower.

- Hoothoot (Lv. 10)
Defeating Elder Li will earn you TM70 (Flash), which is useful for navigating dark caves later on. More importantly, it clears the way to challenge the Violet City Gym Leader.
