Obtaining Giratina's Origin Forme
Giratina is a legendary Pokémon with two distinct forms: the Altered Forme and the Origin Forme. To obtain Giratina's Origin Forme, you will first need to encounter and capture Giratina in its Altered Forme within the Distortion World. After defeating the Elite Four and becoming Champion, you can revisit the Turnback Cave in the western part of Sinnoh. This cave is a challenging dungeon filled with powerful Pokémon and a complex layout.
Within Turnback Cave, you will eventually find Giratina. Once you have captured it, you can then obtain the Griseous Orb. This special item is crucial for changing Giratina's form. The Griseous Orb can be found in the Distortion World itself, specifically in a hidden area accessible after you have completed the main story and have Giratina in your party. Once you have both Giratina (in its Altered Forme) and the Griseous Orb, you can switch Giratina's form.
To activate Origin Forme, simply ensure that Giratina is holding the Griseous Orb. When it enters battle, or when you view its summary screen, it will transform into its Origin Forme. This form boasts different stats and a more imposing appearance. Remember that Giratina's Origin Forme is only active while it is holding the Griseous Orb. If you remove the item, it will revert to its Altered Forme.
