Daily and Weekly Events

Beyond the main storyline, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl offer several daily and weekly events that provide valuable items, unique Pokémon encounters, and opportunities to strengthen your team. Engaging with these recurring activities is crucial for any trainer aiming for full completion and a robust Pokémon collection.

Daily Activities

Berry Picking

Berries are essential for Pokémon Contests, Poffins, and even in-battle healing. You can plant and harvest Berries daily from various Berry patches across Sinnoh. Remember to water them with your Squirtbottle for optimal growth.

  • Location: Numerous locations, including Route 205, Route 206, Route 207, Route 208, Route 209, Route 210, Route 211, Route 212, Route 213, Route 214, Route 215, Route 221, Route 222, Route 224, Route 227, Route 228, Floaroma Meadow, and the Pokémon Mansion.
  • Strategy: Prioritize planting rare Berries like the Lansat Berry or Starf Berry if you have them, as these can be difficult to obtain otherwise. Regularly check your Berry patches to ensure they don't wither.

Honey Tree Encounters

Slathering Honey on specific trees attracts wild Pokémon after a few hours. Some rare Pokémon, like Munchlax, can only be found this way.

  • Location: There are 21 Honey Trees scattered across Sinnoh. Notable locations include Route 205 (north and south), Route 206, Route 207, Route 208, Route 209, Route 210 (east and west), Route 211, Route 212 (north and south), Route 213, Route 214, Route 215, Route 218, Route 221, Route 222, Valley Windworks, Eterna Forest, Fuego Ironworks, and the Floaroma Meadow.
  • Strategy: Purchase Honey from the man in Floaroma Meadow for 100 Poké Dollars. Apply Honey to all 21 trees daily. After at least 6 hours (real-time), return to check for Pokémon. If you're hunting for a specific rare Pokémon, save before checking a tree and soft reset if it's not the one you want.

Jubilife TV Station Lottery

The Jubilife TV Station hosts a daily lottery where you can win prizes based on matching the ID numbers of your Pokémon with a randomly drawn number.

  • Location: Jubilife City, Jubilife TV Station, ground floor.
  • Strategy: Speak to the woman at the counter. The more Pokémon you have with different Original Trainer IDs (obtained through trades), the higher your chances of winning. Prizes range from Full Restore (one digit match) to a Master Ball (all five digits match).

Veilstone City Massage

Increase your Pokémon's happiness (friendship) by getting a daily massage.

  • Location: Veilstone City, in the house directly west of the Department Store.
  • Strategy: Speak to the Massage Girl. She can only massage one Pokémon per day. This is particularly useful for Pokémon that evolve via high friendship, such as Togepi or Buneary.

Eterna City Underground Man's Daily Digging

The Underground Man in Eterna City will give you daily tasks to dig for treasures in the Sinnoh Underground.

  • Location: Eterna City, in the house next to the Pokémon Center.
  • Strategy: After completing his initial tutorial, he will give you a daily quota of Spheres to find. Completing these tasks earns you valuable items like Traps and Goods for your Secret Base.

Trophy Garden Pokémon

The Pokémon Mansion's Trophy Garden features a rotating daily rare Pokémon appearance.

  • Location: Route 212, inside the Pokémon Mansion, in the backyard.
  • Strategy: Speak to Mr. Backlot inside the mansion. He will tell you which rare Pokémon is appearing in the garden that day. These can include Pokémon like Porygon, Castform, Meowth, and Eevee (after obtaining the National Pokédex).
