After moving into your new home in Littleroot Town, head north to Route 101. You'll find Professor Birch in trouble with a wild Poochyena. Choose one of the three Poké Balls to help him: Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip. This choice will define your early game strategy. After the battle, return to his lab for your Pokédex and Poké Balls. Your journey officially begins!
