Wattson specializes in Electric-type Pokémon, including Magnemite, Voltorb, and Manectric. Ground-type moves are super effective. If you have a Marshtomp (Mudkip's evolution) or caught a Geodude, they will be invaluable. Grass-types are resistant to Electric attacks. Defeating Wattson earns you the Dynamo Badge and TM34 (Shock Wave). This badge allows you to use HM06 (Rock Smash) outside of battle.
