Head west from Oldale Town onto Route 102. This route introduces you to your first wild Pokémon and trainers. Battle them to gain experience. In Petalburg City, you'll meet your father, Norman, the Gym Leader. He'll introduce you to Wally, who will catch his first Pokémon with your help. You won't be able to challenge Norman yet, so continue west to Route 104.
