After Vermilion City, you can now access Saffron City. Head north from Vermilion City onto Route 6, then through the Underground Path to Route 5. From Route 5, you can enter Saffron City. However, the city is currently blocked by Team Rocket grunts. You'll need to come back later to fully explore it. For now, your path to Celadon City is open. Head west from Saffron City onto Route 7, which leads directly to Celadon City.
