How to Beat Frenzied Noble Pokémon
Frenzied Noble Pokémon are a unique challenge in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, requiring a different approach than standard battles. These powerful Pokémon are in a state of uncontrolled rage, making them incredibly dangerous. Your role is to calm them down, not necessarily defeat them in a traditional sense.
These encounters are divided into two main phases: a battle royale where you must dodge and throw balms, and a more traditional Pokémon battle. Mastering both is essential for success. The key is to understand the mechanics of each phase and adapt your strategy accordingly.
Phase 1: Calming the Frenzy
In the first phase, you'll be on the battlefield, directly facing the frenzied Noble Pokémon. You cannot directly attack it with your own Pokémon at this stage. Instead, your primary tools are Balms (made from items like Oran Berries and Spoiled Sushi) and your ability to dodge. The Noble Pokémon will unleash a barrage of attacks, often with wide-reaching effects.
Your goal is to throw balms at the Pokémon while avoiding its attacks. Look for openings after it finishes an attack sequence. You can dodge by pressing the 'B' button and moving in the desired direction. Successfully hitting the Pokémon with enough balms will temporarily stun it, creating an opportunity to send out your own Pokémon.
Phase 2: Pokémon Battle
Once you've stunned the Noble Pokémon with balms, you can send out your own Pokémon to battle. This is where traditional Pokémon combat mechanics come into play. Focus on using Pokémon with type advantages against the Noble Pokémon. For example, if facing a Fire-type Noble, use Water or Rock-type Pokémon.
During this phase, you can also continue to throw balms at the Noble Pokémon if you have an opening, but prioritize dealing damage with your Pokémon. If the Noble Pokémon recovers from its stunned state, you'll be forced back into the dodging and balm-throwing phase. The cycle continues until the Noble Pokémon's health is depleted.
Key Strategies for Success:
- Item Crafting: Always ensure you have a plentiful supply of balms. Craft them at base camps using collected materials.
- Dodging: Master the dodge mechanic. Learn the attack patterns of each Noble Pokémon to anticipate their moves.
- Type Matchups: Bring a diverse team of Pokémon to exploit type advantages during the battle phase.
- Patience: Don't rush. Observe the Noble Pokémon's patterns and strike when it's safe.
Each Frenzied Noble Pokémon has unique attack patterns and weaknesses. Studying these will significantly improve your chances of success. Remember, the ultimate goal is to calm them, not necessarily to defeat them in a knockout.
