Villagers in Jubilife Village and throughout Hisui will often have requests for you. These range from catching specific Pokémon, finding lost items, or gathering resources. Completing requests often rewards you with useful items, crafting recipes, or even new features for the village. Always check the blackboard in Professor Laventon's lab and talk to NPCs with a request icon.
