Pokémon Let's Go introduces a new catching mechanic inspired by Pokémon GO. Wild Pokémon appear directly on the overworld. To initiate a catch, simply walk into them. You'll then use motion controls (or the joystick in handheld mode) to throw a Poké Ball. Aim for the shrinking circle – a smaller circle means a better chance of a critical catch. Different berries can also assist in catching, such as Razz Berries to make Pokémon easier to catch, or Pinap Berries to increase candy yield.
