Secret Techniques are essential for navigating the world of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. Unlike HMs in previous games, these are taught by specific NPCs and are crucial for overcoming environmental obstacles and accessing new areas. Your partner Pokémon, Pikachu or Eevee, will learn these techniques.

1. Flash: This technique is needed to illuminate dark caves, most notably Rock Tunnel. You can obtain Flash from an NPC located just outside the entrance to Rock Tunnel, on Route 10.
2. Cut: Used to clear small trees blocking your path. The NPC who teaches Cut is found in Vermilion City, to the left of the Pokémon Center.
3. Strength: This allows you to push large boulders. The Strength Secret Technique is taught by an NPC in the Fuchsia City Pokémon Center.
4. Surf: Essential for traveling across bodies of water. You'll learn Surf from an NPC in the Safari Zone, within Fuchsia City.
5. Fly: Allows you to instantly travel to any Pokémon Center you've previously visited. This technique is taught by an NPC in the Indigo Plateau, after you've defeated the Elite Four.
6. Waterfall: Used to ascend waterfalls. This technique is taught by an NPC in the Seafoam Islands.
7. Whirlpool: Allows you to navigate through whirlpools on the sea routes. You'll learn Whirlpool from an NPC in the Cinnabar Island Pokémon Center.

these Secret Techniques are not Pokémon moves that can be used in battle. They are abilities that your partner Pokémon can perform outside of combat. Ensure your partner Pokémon is in your active party to use these techniques. Some techniques, like Surf and Fly, are learned relatively late in the game, so plan your exploration accordingly.
