Co-op Play & Support Trainer

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! introduce a unique and engaging co-operative gameplay experience, allowing a second player to join the adventure as a 'Support Trainer.' This feature is activated by simply having a second player shake a Joy-Con controller. Once connected, the second player seamlessly integrates into the game, offering assistance in various aspects of gameplay, most notably in battles. In any battle scenario, whether it's against wild Pokémon or trainer opponents, the Support Trainer can send out a second Pokémon to fight alongside the main player's Pokémon. This effectively transforms standard battles into 2-on-1 encounters against wild Pokémon or 2-on-2 battles against trainers. This added presence significantly simplifies battles, making them more accessible and enjoyable, especially for newer players or those who prefer a less challenging experience. The Support Trainer can utilize their Pokémon's moves, switch Pokémon, and even use items, mirroring the actions of the primary player. This shared combat experience not only doubles the offensive and defensive capabilities but also fosters a sense of teamwork and shared accomplishment. Beyond battles, the Support Trainer can also participate in exploration, walking alongside the main player in the game world. This co-op mode is a fantastic way for friends or family members to experience the Kanto region together, making the journey more interactive and doubling the fun.
