Departing from Lavender Town and heading south, you will embark on Route 12, a path that soon introduces a significant obstacle: a slumbering Snorlax blocking your way. To proceed, you must use the Poké Flute to awaken the colossal Pokémon, initiating a battle that offers the unique opportunity to catch it. After successfully navigating past the Snorlax, your journey continues southward through Route 13, followed by Route 14, and finally Route 15. Collectively, these routes are known as 'Cycling Road,' although the game mechanics do not require the use of a bicycle for traversal. This stretch of land is characterized by its open fields and numerous trainers who have set up camp along the way. These trainers represent a significant challenge, often fielding diverse teams that will test your Pokémon's type matchups and overall strength. have a well-rounded team with coverage against various types.
