Route 24 & 25 (Nugget Bridge)
After successfully dealing with the Team Rocket Grunt who was causing trouble in Cerulean City, your path leads you north onto Route 24, an area famously known as Nugget Bridge. This route is characterized by a long bridge lined with a series of trainers, five in total, who will challenge you to a battle as you attempt to cross. These trainers are eager to test their mettle against any who dare to venture forth, and their Pokémon will provide a good opportunity to gain experience and refine your battle strategies. Upon successfully navigating the bridge and defeating all five trainers, you will encounter a Team Rocket member. This individual will offer you a Nugget, a valuable item, if you agree to join their ranks. It is strongly advised to refuse their offer and engage them in battle, as this will yield both experience and the Nugget itself. Continuing your journey eastward from Nugget Bridge, you will enter Route 25. This route is less about a linear progression of trainers and more about exploration and discovery. You will find wild Pokémon here, as well as several NPCs who may offer helpful advice or even trade Pokémon. Route 25 is also home to Bill, the Pokémon Professor who invented the PC system. Interacting with Bill is a key part of the story progression and will allow you to further your journey. explore all accessible areas of Route 25, as there may be hidden items or unique Pokémon encounters. The combination of the trainer gauntlet on Nugget Bridge and the exploration opportunities on Route 25 makes this section of the game a significant and engaging part of your adventure towards Saffron City.
