Your adventure begins in Pallet Town! After receiving your partner Pokémon from Professor Oak and getting your first Poké Balls, head north to Route 1. Battle your rival and catch some early Pokémon. Continue through Viridian City, where you'll find a Pokémon Center and a Poké Mart. Your next destination is Viridian Forest, a maze-like area filled with Bug-type Pokémon and trainers. Navigate through it to reach Pewter City, home of the first Gym Leader, Brock.
