Wattson's team consists of a Level 19 Magnemite (Electric/Steel), a Level 19 Voltorb (Electric), and a Level 21 Manectric (Electric). Magnemite's Steel typing gives it resistances but also adds a weakness to Fire and Fighting, though Ground is still its primary weakness. Voltorb is fast but frail. Manectric is Wattson's ace, possessing good Speed and Special Attack. The absolute best counter is a Ground-type Pokémon. If you have a Marshtomp or Swampert, use Mud Shot or Mud Bomb. They will be immune to all of Wattson's Electric attacks. If you don't have a Ground-type, you'll need to rely on strong neutral attacks and careful healing. Grass-types resist Electric, so they can take hits, but won't deal much damage. Avoid using Flying or Water-type Pokémon, as they are weak to Electric attacks. Be wary of Manectric's speed and potential for critical hits.
