Your Trainer Card is more than just an ID; it's a dynamic record of your journey through the Hoenn region, evolving as you achieve significant milestones. As you progress and conquer various challenges, your Trainer Card will change in color, signifying your growing prowess as a Pokémon Trainer. Each upgrade comes with a set of valuable rewards, making it well worth the effort to strive for that next card color!
Upgrading Your Trainer Card
There are four distinct colors for your Trainer Card: Blue, Green, Copper, and Gold. Each color corresponds to a specific set of achievements you must complete. The journey to a Gold Card is a testament to a true Pokémon Master!
Blue Trainer Card (Starting Card)
This is your initial Trainer Card, received at the beginning of your adventure. No special requirements are needed; it's your welcome to the world of Pokémon!
- Requirements: None.
- Rewards: Access to the Pokémon Storage System and basic Trainer Card functionality.
Green Trainer Card
Your first upgrade signifies your initial triumph over the Hoenn Pokémon League.
- Requirements: Defeat the Elite Four and the Champion, Steven Stone, at the Pokémon League in Ever Grande City.
- Rewards:
- Access to the Battle Resort.
- The ability to participate in the Delta Episode.
- Unlocks the IV Checker NPC in the Battle Resort Pokémon Center.
Copper Trainer Card
Achieving the Copper Card shows your dedication to completing the regional Pokédex and mastering the art of Contests.
- Requirements:
- Complete the Hoenn Pokédex by catching or obtaining all 210 Pokémon native to the Hoenn region (excluding Mythical Pokémon like Deoxys).
- Win all five Master Rank Pokémon Contests (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart, Tough) with any of your Pokémon.
- Rewards:
- Access to the "Looker's Side Quest" in Mauville City after completing the Delta Episode.
- The ability to purchase the "Mega Bracelet" accessory from the Battle Resort shop for 1,000,000 Poké Dollars (purely cosmetic).
Gold Trainer Card
The ultimate symbol of a Pokémon Master in Hoenn, the Gold Trainer Card requires dedication to all aspects of the game, from competitive battling to secret base creation.
- Requirements:
- Obtain a 100-win streak at the Battle Maison in any battle format (Single, Double, Triple, Rotation, or Multi Battle).
- Capture all Legendary Pokémon available in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (including those found through the Eon Flute and Mirage Spots, and the specific version exclusives).
- Collect 100 Flags in your Secret Base. This requires visiting other players' Secret Bases via StreetPass or online communication and collecting flags from their bases.
- Rewards:
- A special "Crown" accessory for your Trainer in the Battle Resort (cosmetic).
- The ability to purchase the "Gold Trainer Card" accessory from the Battle Resort shop for 5,000,000 Poké Dollars (cosmetic).
- A significant discount on items at the Battle Resort shop.
- The satisfaction of truly mastering Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire!
Checking Your Progress
To view your current Trainer Card color and track your progress towards the next upgrade, simply open your menu and select "Trainer Card." The card will display your current color, along with various statistics about your journey, such as playtime, Pokémon caught, and Battle Maison streaks.
