Encountered later in the game, Steelix is a formidable Steel/Ground-type Pokémon, often found guarding a critical path or being manipulated by the Go-Rock Squad.

Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1: Dig & Emerge: Steelix will frequently dig underground, becoming invulnerable, and then emerge in a different spot, creating a shockwave.
- Phase 2: Iron Tail & Roar: As its capture line weakens, Steelix might use its Iron Tail to sweep the area or let out a powerful roar that briefly stuns your Ranger.
Weaknesses & Strategy:
- Wait for Emerge: The key is to wait for Steelix to fully emerge from the ground before attempting to draw circles. Its head is often the most vulnerable point.
- Stun with Electric/Ground: Your Partner Pokémon's 'Electric' Field Move can stun it. If you have a Pokémon with a 'Ground' Field Move (like a Donphan), it can also be effective.
- Quick Circles: Steelix moves relatively fast for its size. Focus on drawing quick, tight circles around its head or body when it's vulnerable.
- Anticipate Dig: Pay attention to the ground for signs of it digging to avoid being caught off guard.
Reward: Ranger Points, progression in the main story, and access to new areas.
