Juan (Ruby/Sapphire) or Wallace (Emerald), the eighth Gym Leader, specializes in Water-type Pokémon. His team includes a Level 40 Luvdisc, a Level 42 Whiscash, a Level 42 Sealeo, a Level 43 Crawdaunt, and a Level 46 Kingdra. Water-type Pokémon are weak to Electric and Grass. Electric-types like Manectric or Magneton, and Grass-types like Sceptile or Breloom, are highly effective. Whiscash (Water/Ground) is quadruple weak to Grass, making it an easy target. Kingdra (Water/Dragon) is his ace; it's only weak to Dragon and Fairy (Fairy not in Gen 3). Use your strongest neutral attacks or a Dragon-type if you have one.
