Norman, the fifth Gym Leader and your father, specializes in Normal-type Pokémon. His team consists of a Level 27 Spinda, a Level 27 Vigoroth, a Level 29 Linoone, and a Level 31 Slaking. Normal-type Pokémon are only weak to Fighting-type moves. A strong Fighting-type like Hariyama or Breloom is highly recommended. Slaking is his ace; it has incredibly high stats but its Truant ability means it only attacks every other turn. Use the 'loafing around' turn to set up stat boosts, heal your Pokémon, or switch to a more advantageous Pokémon. Be prepared for a tough fight, as Norman's Pokémon hit hard.
