Lavaridge Town is a desert oasis known for its hot springs and the fourth Gym Leader, Flannery, who specializes in Fire-type Pokémon. Fire types are strong against Grass, Ice, Bug, and Steel, but weak against Water, Ground, and Rock. Before challenging Flannery, ensure your Pokémon are around Level 25-28. A strong Water or Ground-type Pokémon will make this battle much easier. If you chose Mudkip, your Swampert will be a powerhouse here. Defeating Flannery earns you the Heat Badge, allowing you to use HM07 Waterfall outside of battle, and TM50 Overheat.
