Wattson uses three Pokémon:

  • Voltorb (Level 20): Electric type. Weak to Ground.
  • Magneton (Level 22): Electric/Steel type. Weak to Ground, Fire, Fighting.
  • Manectric (Level 24): Electric type. Weak to Ground.

Strategy: Ground-type Pokémon are your absolute best option here. A Marshtomp (evolved from Mudkip) will dominate this gym. If you don't have a Ground-type, consider catching a Geodude on Route 111 and evolving it into Graveler. Nincada (Route 116) can also learn Dig. Magneton's Steel typing makes it resistant to many types, but Ground-type moves are still super effective. Be wary of Manectric's Speed. If you don't have a Ground-type, strong neutral attacks or status conditions can work, but it will be a tougher fight. Avoid using Flying or Water-type Pokémon, as they are weak to Electric attacks.
