After defeating Winona, head east from Fortree City to Route 120, then south through Route 121, and finally east onto Route 122 (Mt. Pyre). After dealing with Team Aqua/Magma at Mt. Pyre, continue east through Route 123 and then Surf east across the ocean through Route 124 to reach Mossdeep City. Mossdeep City is a unique island city and home to the seventh Gym Leaders, Tate and Liza, who specialize in Psychic-type Pokémon and Double Battles. Psychic types are strong against Fighting and Poison, but weak against Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Before challenging them, ensure your Pokémon are around Level 38-42. Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon are excellent choices. Defeating Tate and Liza earns you the Mind Badge, allowing you to use HM08 Dive outside of battle, and TM04 Calm Mind.
