Victory Road is a multi-floor cave that requires the use of several HMs to traverse. You'll need HM03 Surf to cross water, HM04 Strength to move boulders, HM06 Rock Smash to break rocks, and HM07 Waterfall to climb waterfalls. Make sure you have Pokémon in your party that can use all of these HMs. The cave is filled with high-level trainers and wild Pokémon like Hariyama, Medicham, and Golbat. Battle every trainer to gain experience. There are also several hidden items, so explore thoroughly. The path can be a bit confusing, so pay attention to where you're going. At the end of Victory Road, you'll face your rival, May/Brendan, in their final battle before the Elite Four.
