Winona uses four Pokémon:
- Swablu (Level 33): Normal/Flying type. Weak to Electric, Ice, Rock.
- Pelipper (Level 33): Water/Flying type. Weak to Electric, Rock.
- Skarmory (Level 33): Steel/Flying type. Weak to Fire, Electric.
- Altaria (Level 35): Dragon/Flying type. Weak to Ice, Rock, Dragon.
Strategy: Electric and Ice-type Pokémon are your best counters. Manectric (evolved from Electrike) or a Pokémon with Ice Beam (TM13, found in Mauville Game Corner) will be very effective. Pelipper is also weak to Electric and Rock. Skarmory's Steel typing makes it resistant to many types, but Fire and Electric moves work well. Altaria is her ace; its Dragon/Flying typing makes it quadruple weak to Ice. A strong Ice-type move can one-shot it. Be wary of Aerial Ace, which never misses. Use Potions to keep your Pokémon healthy, especially against Altaria's powerful attacks.
