After each course, you'll return to Professor Oak for his evaluation. This is where your photos are judged and scored. Understanding his criteria is key to maximizing your points:

- Size: How large the Pokémon appears in the frame. Closer, larger Pokémon generally score higher.
- Pose: The action or expression of the Pokémon. Unique poses (e.g., attacking, dancing, sleeping) are worth more.
- Technique: How well the Pokémon is centered in the frame. A perfectly centered Pokémon gets bonus points.
- Other Pokémon: Sometimes, having multiple Pokémon in a single shot, especially interacting, can boost your score.
- Special: Certain unique events or interactions can trigger 'Special' bonuses, often leading to very high scores.
Professor Oak will choose the best photo of each unique Pokémon you've captured. Aim for several poses and interactions to fill your Pokémon Report!
While Professor Oak’s evaluation focuses strictly on framing and size, the Rotom Loto in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon provides similar gameplay bonuses for capturing ideal photos.
