Team Skull Bosses
Throughout your journey in Alola, you will frequently find yourself clashing with the members of the nefarious Team Skull, most notably their formidable leaders, Guzma and Plumeria. Guzma, the boss of Team Skull, often fields a team composed primarily of Bug-type Pokémon. These Pokémon, while sometimes lacking in defensive bulk, are known for their aggressive offensive capabilities. To effectively counter Guzma's Bug-types, Fire, Flying, and Rock-type moves are your most potent weapons, exploiting their inherent weaknesses. Pokémon like Arcanine (Fire), Pelipper (Water/Flying), or Lycanroc (Rock) can be excellent choices. Plumeria, on the other hand, specializes in Poison-type Pokémon. These Pokémon can inflict debilitating status conditions, making them a nuisance to deal with. Ground and Psychic-type Pokémon are particularly effective against Plumeria's team, as they resist Poison-type attacks and can deal super-effective damage. Pokémon such as Excadrill (Ground/Steel) or Alakazam (Psychic) can be invaluable. It is important to remember that Team Skull's Pokémon are generally well-trained and can hit hard, so ensuring your own team is adequately leveled and equipped with appropriate movesets is crucial for success. Be prepared for their sature aggressive playstyle and have a plan to overcome any status conditions they might inflict.
