The core principle of team building lies in achieving several Pokémon types. This diversity allows you to cover your own team's weaknesses while simultaneously exploiting the vulnerabilities of your opponents. Aim for a team composition that includes Pokémon capable of dealing super-effective damage against many types.

Beyond type coverage, consider assing different roles to your Pokémon. A balanced team typically includes physical attackers, who excel at dealing high damage with physical moves, and special attackers, who use special moves. Defensive Pokémon, often referred to as "walls," can absorb hits and support the team through status conditions or healing. Support Pokémon can further enhance your team's effectiveness by setting up entry hazards, screens, or providing healing. The synergy between these different roles is crucial for overcoming challenging battles.

When selecting Pokémon, pay close attention to their movepools, Natures, and Abilities.
