Iki Town and Starter Choice
Upon your arrival in the tropical region of Alola, your journey will quickly lead you to the charming and culturally significant Iki Town. It is here that you will have your first pivotal encounter with the eccentric Professor Kukui, a researcher dedicated to studying Pokémon. Professor Kukui will present you with a momentous decision: the choice of your very first partner Pokémon. You will have the opportunity to select from three distinct starter Pokémon: Rowlet, a Grass/Flying-type owl Pokémon; Litten, a Fire-type cat Pokémon; or Popplio, a Water-type sea lion Pokémon. This initial choice is a crucial one, as your starter Pokémon will undoubtedly become a cornerstone of your team throughout your Alolan adventure, accompanying you through numerous battles and trials. After making your selection and forming a bond with your new partner, you will immediately engage in your first official Pokémon battle. This initial clash serves as a gentle introduction to the battle mechanics of Pokémon Sun and Moon and allows you to test the early capabilities of your chosen starter. Following this introductory battle, your journey will truly begin as you venture out from Iki Town to explore the surrounding routes and discover the wonders of Alola.
