Following the successful completion of Ilima's trial, your next significant challenge in the Melemele region is the Melemele Grand Trial, presided over by Kahuna Hala. This formidable trainer specializes in the raw power of Fighting-type Pokémon. His ace Pokémon is a particularly strong Hariyama, known for its high HP and Attack stats, capable of dishing out significant damage. To effectively counter Hala's Fighting-type lineup, it is highly recommended to utilize Pokémon that are strong against Fighting-types. Moves of the Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-type varieties will prove to be super effective, exploiting their inherent weaknesses. Before engaging Hala, ensure your Pokémon are adequately leveled to meet the challenge. Consider adding a Flying-type Pokémon to your team, such as Pelipper or Oricorio (Baile Style), or a Psychic-type like Kadabra. Fairy-types, like the starter Popplio's final evolution Primarina, also offer a significant advantage.
