The standard Poké Ball is your first tool for catching. Great Balls and Ultra Balls have higher catch rates. Specialized balls include the Net Ball (better for Water/Bug types), Dusk Ball (better at night/in caves), Quick Ball (best on first turn), and Timer Ball (better as battle lengthens). To increase catch rates, weaken the Pokémon, inflict status conditions (Sleep or Paralysis are best), and use a higher-tier ball. stock up!
