The Kalos region is full of hidden items and secret areas. Use your Dowsing Machine (obtained on Route 5) frequently to uncover invisible items in grassy patches, rocks, and even on the ground in towns. Some areas, like the Lost Hotel or the various caves, contain rare Pokémon or valuable items that are easily missed. Explore every nook and cranny, talk to all NPCs, and revisit areas with new HMs to ensure you don't miss any secrets. Many TMs and rare berries are found this way.
