After customizing your character, you'll wake up in Vaniville Town. Head downstairs to meet your mom, then proceed to Aquacorde Town. Here, you'll meet Shauna, Calem/Serena, Tierno, and Trevor. Professor Sycamore's aide will present you with your first Pokémon: Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie. You'll also receive your Pokédex and some Poké Balls. battle Shauna to get a feel for the combat system. After delivering the letter, you're free to explore Route 2.
