Upon entering Lumiose City, you'll be directed to Professor Sycamore's Lab. Here, he'll challenge you to a battle and then offer you one of the Kanto region's starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. This is a significant addition to your team! After this, you'll be encouraged to explore the city, but your main objective is to head to Route 4. Don't get lost in the city's vastness just yet; there will be plenty of time for exploration later.
