Encountered in Chapter 4: The Research Labs, The Guardian is a more agile and technologically augmented entity, protecting the facility's core. This fight takes place in a large, circular chamber with several energy conduits.
Phase 1: Energy Shield
The Guardian is initially protected by an impenetrable energy shield. It will attack with rapid claw swipes and occasionally fire a concentrated energy beam. Direct attacks are useless. Your objective is to disable its shield. Observe the four energy conduits around the room. Each conduit has a small, glowing panel. You need to activate these panels in a specific sequence. The sequence is revealed on a flickering monitor near the entrance to the arena (e.g., Blue, Red, Green, Yellow). You must activate them while avoiding the Guardian's attacks. Activating all four in the correct order will temporarily disable its shield.
Phase 2: Exposed Core
Once the shield is down, the Guardian's central core, a glowing orb, is exposed. This is its weak point. Unleash your most powerful weapon (Shotgun or Experimental Plasma Cutter) on the core. You'll have a limited time before the shield reactivates. After the shield reactivates, the Guardian will become more aggressive, and the energy beam attack will be more frequent. Repeat Phase 1 and 2 until the Guardian is defeated. Conserve your heavy weapon ammo for the exposed core phase. Reward: Access to the facility's true core and the final chapters.
