Effective inventory management is a cornerstone of survival in Post Trauma. You have limited space, forcing difficult decisions about what to carry and what to leave behind. Press 'Q' to access your inventory screen. Here's what you'll find:

  • Item Slots: A grid representing your available inventory space. Each item, regardless of size, typically occupies one slot.
  • Key Items: These are crucial for progression and are usually stored in a separate, dedicated section, not consuming regular inventory slots.
  • Documents/Notes: Found items like diaries, letters, or newspaper clippings are stored in a separate tab. These often contain vital lore, puzzle clues, or hints about the environment.
  • Equipped Items: Shows what weapon (if any) and utility item (like the flashlight) you currently have active.

Prioritize healing items, flashlight batteries, and ammunition. Consider dropping less critical items if you find something more valuable. Remember, you can often return to previous areas, but backtracking can be dangerous. Think strategically about your loadout before venturing into new, unknown territories.
