Blocking & Dodging

Defense is as important as offense in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The Prince can employ both blocking and dodging to evade enemy attacks. Blocking, typically performed by holding a dedicated button, will allow you to parry incoming blows, often staggering your opponent and creating an opening for a counter-attack. Timing your block is key; a perfectly timed block can negate all damage and stun the enemy. Dodging, usually executed with a directional input combined with a button press, allows the Prince to evade attacks with a quick sidestep or roll. This is particularly useful against slower, heavier attacks or when you need to reposition yourself. Learning to switch between blocking and dodging based on the enemy's attack pattern is vital for survival, especially on higher difficulties.
