The effectiveness of a flashbang lies in its ability to disrupt enemy senses. Upon detonation, it emits a bright flash and a loud bang, which significantly impairs an enemy's vision and hearing for a short duration. This disorientation allows operatives to close the distance, secure objectives, or eliminate threats with reduced risk. For instance, when attempting to clear a room in Mission 11 Operation: Yellow Knife, tossing a flashbang through the doorway before entering can neutralize any enemies positioned inside, allowing the operative to enter and engage with a clear advantage.
