World 6: Moody Clouds
Welcome to the treacherous World 6, Moody Clouds! This world introduces some of the game's most challenging platforming and enemy encounters. Prepare for strong winds, electrified platforms, and cunning mechanical foes. Precision and timing are key to navigating these stormy skies.
Level 6-1: Up and Down
This level is a masterclass in vertical platforming. You'll be dealing with rising and falling platforms, often with electric currents. Keep an eye on the patterns and don't rush.
- First Electrified Platform: Immediately after the starting area, you'll encounter your first electrified platform. Observe its cycle – it electrifies briefly, then deactivates. Jump across when it's safe.
- Lums Cluster 1 (10 Lums): After the first set of electrified platforms, you'll see a cluster of Lums floating above a moving platform. Time your jump to grab them as the platform rises.
- Electoon Cage 1: Located shortly after the first Lums cluster. You'll need to navigate a series of small, moving platforms. The cage is tucked away on a slightly lower platform to the left. Punch it open!
- Wind Currents: Throughout the level, you'll encounter strong wind currents that can push you around. Use these to your advantage for longer jumps, but be wary of them pushing you into hazards.
- Lums Cluster 2 (25 Lums): Near the midpoint, after a section with several vertical moving platforms, look for a hidden alcove to the right. You'll need to wall-jump to reach it.
- Electoon Cage 2: Towards the end of the level, after a series of challenging electrified platforms that move both horizontally and vertically, the cage is on a high platform. You'll need to use a combination of wall-jumps and well-timed air glides to reach it.
Level 6-2: The Winds of Change
This level heavily features horizontal wind currents and enemies that are adept at using them. Expect to be pushed and pulled, so maintain control and anticipate your movements.
- Wind-Powered Enemies: You'll encounter new mechanical enemies that are propelled by the wind. They can be tricky to hit. Wait for them to be pushed close by the wind, then unleash a quick punch.
- Lums Cluster 1 (15 Lums): Early in the level, after a few wind-propelled enemies, you'll see a cluster of Lums above a gap. Use the strong wind current to glide across and collect them.
- Electoon Cage 1: This cage is hidden behind a destructible wall. After a section with strong leftward winds, you'll land on a solid platform. Look for a cracked wall to your right. Punch it to reveal the cage.
- Rotating Platforms: Later in the level, you'll encounter platforms that rotate, often with spikes on one side. Time your jumps carefully to land on the safe side.
- Lums Cluster 2 (30 Lums): After a particularly challenging section with rotating spike platforms, look for a series of small platforms leading upwards. The Lums are at the very top.
- Electoon Cage 2: Near the exit, after a long glide section assisted by powerful updrafts, the cage is on a small, isolated platform. You'll need to perform a precise glide and possibly a wall-jump to reach it.
Level 6-3: Stormy Ascent
Prepare for a relentless climb through a storm-ridden environment. This level combines all the elements of Moody Clouds: wind, electricity, and tricky platforming, often under pressure.
- Vertical Scrolling Section: The majority of this level is a vertical auto-scrolling section. You must keep moving upwards or risk being crushed by the bottom of the screen.
- Electrified Walls: Many of the walls you'll be wall-jumping on will periodically electrify. Watch for the visual cue (sparking) and only jump when they are safe.
- Lums Cluster 1 (20 Lums): During the first vertical climb, you'll see a cluster of Lums off to the left, requiring a quick detour and a precise wall-jump to collect before the screen scrolls past.
- Electoon Cage 1: About halfway through the auto-scrolling section, you'll notice a small alcove to the right, just above a constantly electrifying platform. You'll need to quickly jump into the alcove, punch the cage, and jump back out before the platform electrifies again.
- Falling Debris: As you ascend, watch out for falling debris from above. These can knock you down or into hazards.
- Lums Cluster 2 (40 Lums): Near the top of the ascent, there's a challenging sequence of small, electrified platforms. The Lums are located in the middle of this sequence. It might require a few attempts to grab them all safely.
- Electoon Cage 2: Just before the final exit, the cage is on a high, narrow platform. You'll need to use a series of quick wall-jumps between two electrified walls to reach it. Timing is critical here.
