Electoons are the main progression collectible in Rayman Origins. Rescuing them is essential for unlocking new worlds, levels, and character costumes. Each standard level typically has 6 Electoons: 2 for reaching the end, 2 for collecting enough Lums (usually 50 and 100), and 2 for finding secret cages. Speed levels and Moskito levels have a different distribution. Prioritizing Electoon collection is key to advancing through the game.

How to Find Electoons:
- End of Level: Simply reaching the end of a standard level will award you Electoons.
- Lum Thresholds: Collecting a certain number of Lums (e.g., 50, 100) in a level will automatically grant you Electoons.
- Secret Cages: These are the most challenging to find. They are often hidden behind breakable walls, in obscure corners, or at the end of difficult platforming sequences. Look for suspicious cracks in walls or paths that seem to lead nowhere.
- Time Trials: Completing a 'Speed' level within a certain time limit will award Electoons.
- Moskito Levels: These levels award Electoons for reaching the end and for collecting enough Lums.
Importance of Electoons:
- World Unlocks: A specific number of Electoons are required to open new worlds on the Snoring Tree.
- Level Unlocks: Within each world, some levels are locked until you've collected enough Electoons from previous levels.
- Character Unlocks: Many character costumes and variants are unlocked by reaching certain total Electoon counts.
