Welcome, aspiring Rec Room champions! This comprehensive guide will walk you through unlocking every Achievement and Trophy in the game. While some are straightforward, others require specific strategies, item hunting, and a keen eye for detail. Remember, patience and exploration are your best tools!

Story-Related Achievements

These achievements are earned by progressing through the main storyline. You cannot miss them, but knowing what to expect can help you prepare.

The First Step

  • Description: Complete the tutorial and enter the Rec Center for the first time.
  • Walkthrough: Simply follow the on-screen prompts during the initial setup. You'll customize your avatar, learn basic movement, and then be automatically transported to the Rec Center. This is typically the first achievement new players unlock.

Whispers of the Past

  • Description: Discover the ancient journal in the "Forgotten Archives" quest.
  • Walkthrough: During the "Forgotten Archives" main quest, you'll be tasked with locating a lost artifact. Navigate to the lowest level of the Archives, past the crumbling bookshelves. The journal, titled "Chronicles of the Elder Rec," is located on a dusty pedestal in the center of the room, guarded by a single, inactive "Dust Golem." Interact with it to unlock.

The Grand Finale

  • Description: Defeat the Shadow Weaver and restore balance to the Rec Room universe.
  • Walkthrough: This is the final story achievement. The Shadow Weaver boss battle takes place in the "Cosmic Nexus" instance. Ensure you have a balanced party with at least one Healer and one Tank. The Shadow Weaver has three phases:
    1. Phase 1: Shadow Tendrils: Focus on destroying the "Shadow Tendrils" that spawn around the arena. They deal continuous damage. Use area-of-effect abilities.
    2. Phase 2: Void Orbs: The Shadow Weaver will summon "Void Orbs." These must be intercepted by a player before they reach the boss, or she gains a significant damage buff. Designate a player to focus solely on orb interception.
    3. Phase 3: Desperation: The Shadow Weaver will unleash powerful "Cosmic Blasts." Hide behind the large "Astral Pillars" to avoid taking critical damage. Attack during the brief cooldown periods.
    Once her health reaches zero, the achievement will pop.

Exploration & Collection Achievements

These achievements reward thorough exploration and diligent searching for hidden items.

Master Cartographer

  • Description: Uncover all hidden areas across all main quest zones.
  • Walkthrough: This requires 100% map completion. Look for glowing runes on walls or subtle cracks in the environment. Some notable hidden areas include:
    • The Sunken Grotto (Coral Reef Zone): Located behind a waterfall near the "Pearl Diver's Rest" landmark. Requires the "Aqua Breath Potion" to access without taking damage.
    • The Whispering Caverns (Forest of Echoes Zone): Find a hidden switch disguised as a loose rock near the "Ancient Oak" tree. It opens a secret passage.
    • The Celestial Observatory (Sky Citadel Zone): Requires solving a star-gazing puzzle. Align the "Star Fragments" found throughout the zone on the central console in the main hall of the Citadel.
    A good strategy is to hug walls and interact with anything that looks out of place.

Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire

  • Description: Collect all 50 "Glimmering Shards" scattered throughout the world.
  • Walkthrough: Glimmering Shards are small, sparkling collectibles. They are often tucked away in corners, on high ledges, or behind destructible environmental objects.
    • Locations to prioritize:
      • Rec Center: 5 shards, often on top of vending machines or behind the stage.
      • Forest of Echoes: 15 shards, many hidden within tree hollows or under large roots. Use the "Grappling Hook" for higher access.
      • Desert of Whispers: 10 shards, frequently buried in sand dunes (look for small glints) or inside ancient ruins. The "Desert Compass" item (purchasable from the "Wandering Merchant" in the Oasis) helps pinpoint nearby shards.
      • Coral Reef Zone: 10 shards, mostly underwater. The "Scuba Gear" is essential for extended exploration.
      • Sky Citadel Zone: 10 shards, often on precarious ledges or within hidden chambers. The "Glide Cloak" is invaluable here.
    • Strategy: Equip the "Shard Detector" gadget (unlocked at Level 20) which emits a faint ping when a shard is nearby. Listen carefully and follow the sound.

Challenge Achievements

These achievements test your combat prowess, puzzle-solving skills, and dedication.

Flawless Victory

  • Description: Defeat any "Elite Boss" without taking a single hit.
  • Walkthrough: This is one of the tougher achievements. We recommend attempting this on the "Stone Guardian" in the "Sunken Temple" (Coral Reef Zone) due to its predictable attack patterns.
    • Preparation:
      • Gear: Maximize your damage output. Equip the "Blade of the Deep" (dropped by the "Kraken" mini-boss) and "Swiftfoot Boots" for increased mobility.
      • Consumables: Bring "Power Potions" for burst damage and "Stamina Elixirs" for sustained dodging.
    • Strategy:
      • Phase 1 (Hammer Slam): The Guardian raises its hammer slowly. Dodge *just* before it impacts. This creates a large opening for a few attacks.
      • Phase 2 (Boulder Toss): It will throw three slow-moving boulders. Sidestep each one.
      • Phase 3 (Ground Pound): The Guardian jumps and creates a shockwave. Jump over the shockwave.
    Focus entirely on dodging and only attack during its recovery animations.

The Artisan's Touch

  • Description: Craft a Legendary-tier item using the "Grand Forge."
  • Walkthrough: The "Grand Forge" is located in the "Crafting Guild Hall" in the Rec Center. To craft a Legendary item, you need:
    • Legendary Blueprint: These are rare drops from "World Bosses" (e.g., "Inferno Dragon" in the Volcanic Peaks) or can be purchased from the "Black Market Dealer" for a hefty sum of 50,000 Gold.
    • Exotic Materials: Each Legendary blueprint requires specific Exotic Materials. For example, the "Phoenix Feather Cloak" requires 3 "Phoenix Feathers" (dropped by the "Phoenix" in the Sky Citadel) and 5 "Star-Forged Ingots" (mined from "Astral Veins" in the Cosmic Nexus).
    • High Crafting Skill: Your "Blacksmithing" skill must be at least Level 50. Train this by crafting lower-tier items repeatedly.
    Once you have all components and the required skill, interact with the Grand Forge, select your blueprint, and craft away!

Social Butterfly

  • Description: Participate in 10 unique community events.
  • Walkthrough: Keep an eye on the "Events Board" located in the Rec Center plaza. Community events are scheduled regularly and range from "Dance-Off Competitions" to "Build Battles" and "PvP Tournaments." Simply join and participate in 10 different types of events. You don't need to win, just be present and contribute.
