Location: A fortified military camp or stronghold.
Phases & Strategy:
- Mounted Gatling Gun: Colonel Daren often starts behind a mounted Gatling gun, making him incredibly dangerous. You cannot directly damage him while he's on the gun.
- Flank and Disable: Your first priority is to flank his position. Look for alternative routes or use explosive barrels to create a distraction. Once you're behind him or on his side, you can shoot the Gatling gun's ammunition belt or the gun itself to disable it.
- Pistol Duel: Once dismounted, Daren will engage you with a powerful pistol. He's a skilled duelist.
- Dead Eye Precision: Use Dead Eye to target his head or weapon hand. He has good accuracy, so don't stay exposed for long.
- Grenade Throws: He will throw grenades. Dodge away from the red indicator on the ground.
- Reinforcements: Expect waves of soldiers to assist him. Clear them out quickly to avoid being overwhelmed.
Weaknesses:
- Gatling gun is vulnerable from the sides/rear.
- Headshots during pistol phase.
- Vulnerable during grenade wind-up.
Rewards:
Large bounty, significant story progression, often unlocks a powerful rifle.
