Location: Early game, often encountered in a canyon or mine.
Phases & Strategy:
- Initial Assault: Grizzly is a large, heavily armed brute with a powerful shotgun. He will charge at you, attempting to close the distance.
- Maintain Distance: Your primary goal is to keep your distance. Use your rifle to chip away at his health from afar.
- Explosive Barrels: Look for explosive barrels in the arena. Lure Grizzly near them and shoot the barrels for significant damage.
- Dead Eye Opportunity: When he pauses to reload or after taking a hit, activate Dead Eye and target his head for critical damage.
- Melee Attack: If he gets too close, he'll attempt a powerful melee attack. Dodge (X/A button) to avoid it and create distance.
- Second Wind: After taking substantial damage, Grizzly might become more aggressive or call in a few regular bandits as backup. Prioritize the bandits quickly, then refocus on Grizzly.
Weaknesses:
- Headshots (especially with Dead Eye)
- Explosive barrels
- Slow movement speed (exploitable with kiting)
Rewards:
Significant bounty, often unlocks a new weapon or upgrade at the General Store.
