Throughout your journey, you'll encounter opportunities to participate in classic Wild West duels. These are one-on-one quickdraw challenges that test your reflexes and precision.
How Duels Work:
- Initiation: Duels are often triggered by specific story events or by interacting with certain NPCs in towns.
- The Standoff: When a duel begins, you'll enter a special first-person perspective.
- Draw Your Weapon: Wait for the prompt to appear (usually a visual cue like the opponent's hand twitching or a sound). Quickly flick the Right Analog Stick downwards to draw your weapon.
- Aim and Fire: Once drawn, a target reticle will appear. Move the Right Analog Stick to aim at your opponent. The faster and more accurately you aim for critical spots (head, heart, weapon hand), the more damage you'll inflict.
- Fire: Press the R1/Right Trigger to fire. You typically have a limited window to get your shots off.
Winning duels often rewards you with money, unique weapons, or unlocks new areas. Practice is key to mastering the quickdraw mechanic.
